The Gadget Show’s Sound Challenge featuring the Aquabeat and SwiMP3!

Browsing the Gadget Show website, I stumbled across this sound challenge that a couple of our Waterproof gadgets are involved in! It was a sound comparison - the Speedo Aquabeat certainly stole the light from the Finis SwiMP3.

From the off it was clear during the Gadget Shows Sound challenge that the Aquabeat was more impressive with its “Big…Bold…intuitive and ergonomic buttons” that made it “Really easy to use.”

The Aquabeat took the advantage in this test not only through ease of use but the fact they have inner ear buds which allow you to “feel completely immersed in the music.”

All in the Aquabeat was declared the overall winner of the two players through its ease of use and the fact “it worked beautifully in the water.”

Aquabeat’s are a very popular waterproof music device, here is the question for you though?

Firstly we have the Yamaha TENORI-ON (TNR-O)
At first looks you might well wonder what on earth it does? Its a brand new musical interface where you can perform music intuitively and visually! The Tenori-on brings another dimension to your performance - you can display you musical genius and creativity by creating a unique sound and visual performance.

By cleverly pressing one the the 16x16 LED's on the display the Tenori-on will output a fantastic sound relevant to your touch.

Sound's complicated? Its not actually, once you understand the modes different modes (score, random, draw, bounce, push and solo) it all makes sense - and looks fantastic when you make use of the different layers.

The sensitive mic's allow recording in a resolution of up to 24bit/96kHz - thats better than CD quality. They are both USB compatible and come with Cubase AI 5 software for audio editing.

Yesterday we brought a review to your attention from the gadget show on the Cowon J3. Today we look further into the Gadget shows Web TV 94 - Cowon J3 & Headphone buyers guide and focus on the headphone advice they give us all!

The Gadget Show’s Pollyanna gave us the guide to headphones – she made it clear that the best headphones for you depends on what you are using them for!

The Gadget expert Jon Bentley got his teeth sunk into Cowon's J3 in The Gadget Shows online 'Web TV 94 Cowon J3 & Headphone buyers guide'.

"Do they(Cowon) manage to keep the bar still raised? Or do they fail where they have previously succeeded."

After testing the J3's audio ability through Shures SE535's he goes on to describe the audio quality in the most positive manner...

"brilliant...bright and detailed but at the same time very natural...Significantly better, i think, than the iPod touch 2nd and 3rd gen".

Full of praise Jon continues to describe the J3 as having a "great screen" and a being a "relief" breaking away from iTunes.

Jon's concluding statement says it all...

"Overall this is one of the best sounding and most desirable music players you can buy!"
