Archos Come Home with the 7 Home Tablet!

Share
Lets get this out of the way right away - yes, this does everything the iPad does (and more) for much less money! There, I said it.

Now, the Archos 7 Home Tablet is a flash-based internet tablet, WiFi enabled to let you surf and download. It's a 7" touchscreen (so not as big as Apple's new darling) but really responsive and it makes the player really easy to use and feels great in the hand.

It being an Archos, it's also very flexible - SD slot to let you upload photos and movies to it, TV out (with an accessory cable) - it's the only device you'll need to browse the net and watch your movies.

  1. Everything? Where is the 3G connectivity? Ohhhh, I see...you mean it does more than SOME of the iPads do.
Does it have access to Google Apps or is this still the version of Android that ISN'T supported by Google, hence no maps, gmail, apps etc that let down the Archos 5? Hell, if they can support a smartphone, why is this out in the cold?

  2. I've had a few archos gadgets and they have never been satisfactory. The screens sharpness never matched that of the ipod touch. Using their TV Add connections is horrendous! Their own App store is also useless. I'm sorry to say this but no way will it out-class the ipad as a multimedia player though the archos 7 will be easier to carry about.
