Browsing the Gadget Show website, I stumbled across this sound challenge that a couple of our Waterproof gadgets are involved in! It was a sound comparison - the Speedo Aquabeat certainly stole the light from the Finis SwiMP3.
From the off it was clear during the Gadget Shows Sound challenge that the Aquabeat was more impressive with its “Big…Bold…intuitive and ergonomic buttons” that made it “Really easy to use.”
The Aquabeat took the advantage in this test not only through ease of use but the fact they have inner ear buds which allow you to “feel completely immersed in the music.”
All in the Aquabeat was declared the overall winner of the two players through its ease of use and the fact “it worked beautifully in the water.”
Aquabeat’s are a very popular waterproof music device, here is the question for you though?
Does having music give you that little bit extra when swimming, does the music give you extra drive? Let us know what you think!
I have to disagree. I think the sound of the Finis SwiMP3 is much better than Speedo's Aquabeat in the water and it's much easier to use - the Aquabeat is fiddly in the extreme, compared with the Finis device which just fits on the goggle strap. I don't think anyone who swims regularly would agree with the Gadget Show's verdict. Chris, Goggleblog
