Last weekend at Advanced MP3 Players: The "Sound-Off" Event was a success!
The concept was easy:Music Lovers took part in our big "Sound-Off" Event at Advanced Headphones Ocean Terminal!
On the table, two closed boxes. One contained a COWON X7. The other an iPod. No-one knew which’s which and both played the same song!
The challenge even more:
Each customer sat in front of the two boxes and took up the challenge: guessing which’s which! You told us the one which had the best sound quality!
RESULTS:
Saturday:
Cowon X7 = 25 votes
iPod Touch = 20 votes
Sunday:
Cowon X7 = 38 votes
iPod Touch = 35 votes
Cowon: Big Winner!!

Considering the quality of Cowon players compared to Apple's, I'm a bit suprised it was that close between the two.

Still, very good to see the Cowon coming out on top!
25 vs 20, and 38 vs 35 is hardly a BIG win then, is it ?
ReplyDeleteI own a Cowon, not an iPod, so it saddens me to see such a close result misinterpreted by some poor marketing BS.
Also, very specific about which Cowon was used.

I agree the gap is closed but still, Cowon won!
We used the last generation of iPod Touch (stated in the article - not a 2005 iPod Mini as you thought)
Not pointless in my opinion - it is good to gauge what customers' opinion!

- We used DENON AH-NC800 Noise Cancelling Headphones
- Customers listened "One" by Swedish House Mafia
- About the format: the Cowon was in FLAC and the Apple was in standard Apple format.
