PURE – the UK’s leading radio manufacturer – has received another awards bonanza with top accolades in two leading UK Hi-Fi magazine annual awards as well as plaudits from consumer and international press.
PURE has won ‘What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision’ magazine’s prestigious ‘Radio Product of the Year’ for the seventh time in nine years. PURE’s AVANTI Flow won the title for the second year in a row and was also awarded ‘Best Internet Radio’.
PURE’s ONE Elite took the prize for ‘Best Desktop DAB up to £100’.
The awards issue of What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision says of AVANTI Flow: “Pure’s admirable Avanti Flow takes both Best Internet Radio and overall Product of the Year Awards for the second year running… By turns punchy and composed, the Avanti Flow creates a generous soundstage, keeps a close eye on detail, and generates considerable levels of scale and attack. It’s deft and dynamic, with prodigious midrange expression. It puts even some similarly priced micro-systems to shame.”
In the 2010 Hi-Fi Choice Awards PURE’s Sensia took two top accolades, winning both ‘Best Radio Tuner’ and the coveted ‘Best Innovation’ title.
The awards issue of Hi-Fi Choice says of Sensia: “The Sensia takes what we expect a radio to do and turns it on its head. The combination of DAB with internet radio and media streaming – to say nothing of the ability to access certain websites is deeply impressive. It was the first product to bring touch-screen interactivity to this most cherished medium.”
Additionally, Avanti Flow and EVOKE-3 have been awarded “Best Buy” status from the highly respected and stringent “Which?” magazine, while Sensia has been awarded Best Product of the Year by SmartHouse in Australia.
